Living by Faith

Faith message is a message we must permit to dwell richly in our mind so that we can live by it on a daily basis. This is important because you cannot actually live a victorious life without living and walking by faith.

Living by faith entails operating on a high spiritual plane, high spiritual plane because by so doing, you refuse to allow your five senses to rule you. When you allow yourself to be influenced by your senses all the time, it can be disastrous, because your senses cannot see far into the future. All they can see and perceive is the present.

They can see the giants, the obstacles, the opposition; they can perceive failure, defeat, threat, and danger lurking around the corner. But sadly, so sadly, your senses cannot see the victory that is ahead; your senses cannot perceive the magnitude of blessings which God has in stock for you; your senses cannot see far into the great potentials within you and the level of success you can achieve with these potentialities.

That is why you must learn to depend less on your senses. If you allow your senses to rule you, all you will continue to see are the giants, the obstacles, the unpleasant situations, danger, fear, threat, oppositions, and everything that tells you that you can never amount to anything in life. The more you see and focus on all these, the less progress you make in life. That is the Gospel truth!

You cannot continue to see the giants and obstacles on your way to prosperity and hope to overcome them and prosper. No way, because what you see and believe is what you get! You have got to see beyond the giants and the obstacles on your way and start focusing on the victory that is ahead; you have got to see beyond what your enemies, your detractors, or your opposition can do to you and start focusing on the great success that lies ahead.

The great thing about faith is that it does not focus on the present; it focuses on the great future that lies ahead. “Faith is the substance of things HOPED for, the evidence of things not seen” (Hebrew 11: 1) And because faith does not concentrate on the present, it does not take into consideration any obstacle, opposition, and danger.
Hence, when you are operating by faith, there is no obstacle, opposition, or danger that can hold you back from getting what you have seen by faith.

The presence of obstacles and problems should not be seen as hindrances to getting what is yours by faith. The life of faith is not a life that is free from battle and problems, but one that is full of victory over problems.

In fact, the presence of giants and fortified wall of defence are indications that you are on the right way to your promised land.

If you must get to your promised land, you must be ready to fight your way through. You already have the weapon you can deploy to overcome the giants and the obstacles.
Faith is the weapon you need to overcome every battle of your life.

See it by Faith

Great accomplishments are recorded by people who first saw themselves, by faith, accomplishing them. Successful businesses are set up and run by men and women who first had the faith to run such businesses.

Whatever you want to achieve on planet earth, you must first see yourself, with your eye of faith, accomplishing it. I recently read an inspirational story written by the Master Motivator himself, Zig Ziglar. In the article, Ziglar reminisces the early days of his motivational career. He said that with the help of key members of his staff, they created their Mission Statement thus: “To be the difference maker in the personal, family, professional, and spiritual lives of enough people; to make a positive difference in the world.”

His mission statement was really an audacious one, because at the time he put his mission statement on paper, nobody knew him or what he was doing. But he did not allow that to bother him. He just started anyway.

Today, Zig Ziglar is a world class motivational author, speaker, and business man. He has not only accomplished his mission, he is doing it beyond his wildest imagination.

No wonder, Robert H. Schuller, founder of Crystal Cathedral said: “I learned that great dreams of great dreamers are never fulfilled, they are surpassed.” His works has been translated into 40 different languages and dialects in several million books. He has received over 5,000 letters from people around the world who have greatly benefitted from his motivational ministry.

Ziglar started his motivational ministry by faith. With his eye of faith, he created an audacious mission statement. The mission statement looked ridiculous because at that time, he was a “nobody.” His abiding faith and focus took him to this great height he is presently.

In his words: “Since July 4, 1972, when my purpose in life is clearly defined, not one time have I even thought casually about abandoning our mission statement.”

Dear reader, the secret of living a victorious life is living by faith. When you live by faith, you constantly look beyond those negative forces that your senses can perceive and see, and focus on your mission statement that you have created.

What is your goal? Can you see yourself accomplishing great success on planet earth? You need to make your mission statement audacious, even if it looks ridiculous to your senses. That is what faith is all about. Your senses need not agree with your mission statement.

One of the signs that indicate that you are operating by faith is that your mission statement will look ridiculous. People will not believe in your mission statement. Someone once said, “If everybody agrees with your dream, it is not a dream; it is a nightmare.”

Now, go and raise your goal high. Make your mission statement magnificent. Remember, “according to your faith be it unto you.”
Go and live victoriously!
