Travails and Triumphs of Great Destinies (3)

If Your Destiny is Great, It Will Attract Opposition
Welcome to part 3 of this article. Dear reader, if your destiny is great, it will attract oppositions. One of the signs of great destinies is that you will encounter oppositions who will do everything they can to destroy your destiny. They will think that anything they can do to truncate your effort is fit and proper.
Joseph’s great dream attracted strong opposition from his brothers. They hated him and did everything in their power to ensure his dream was not fulfilled.
They initially planned to kill him so that he would not be alive to fulfill his dream. But one of his brothers influenced the others to change their plan and instead sold him into slavery, thinking that once a slave in a foreign land, there was no more hope for him to bring his dream into reality.
But they were wrong. From slavery status, Joseph rose to become a prime minister in Egypt. My friend, if you carry a great destiny, your enemies are wasting their time. Their opposition and enmity may be strong, yet everything they do against you will mysteriously turn out to be for your good.
It is not that the enemies of progress will not try. They will continue to try, but the more they try, the quicker they end up catapulting you to the place God wants you to be.
There is no depth your enemies put you that you cannot come out. If you have a great destiny to fulfill, nobody can kill you. If they try to kill you, they would not succeed. Nobody can kill a person that carries great destiny. For, until he fulfills his destiny, he cannot die. If he dies, it means he has fulfilled his destinies.
Some Bible scholars used to think that John the Baptist died prematurely, but I don't think they are right because right from the onset, John the Baptist kept saying he was the fore runner of Jesus, announcing his arrival. He actually witnessed the arrival of the messiah and announced him to the people. And when he had done that, he had to exit, giving way to Jesus.
If you have a great destiny to fulfill, every evil machination of the enemies of progress will eventually work for the fulfillment of your destiny. It is not possible to keep a man destined for the top at the bottom. Any effort aimed at keeping him at the bottom will mysteriously end up catapulting him to the top.
Are you afraid of risking your life at the constant onslaught of your enemies? Then, take note of this: if your destiny is God-ordained, they would never succeed in destroying your destiny. Rather, they would mysteriously end up bringing your destiny to fulfillment.
DON’T BE SO BOTHERED ABOUT WHAT YOUR ENEMIES CAN DO. FOCUS ON GOD’S POWER TO BRING YOUR DESTINY TO FULFILLMENT.
The reason the enemies are not to be feared is that they cannot destroy your destiny. Your destiny is not in their hands. God, who holds and moulds your destiny, would not allow them to triumph.
IT IS NOT WHAT YOUR ENEMIES SAY ABOUT YOUR FUTURE THAT MATTERS; IT IS WHAT GOD SAYS THAT MATTERS. It is only God, the master of the universe, who holds your destiny in His hand, that has the final say about your destiny.
If you are pursuing the right destiny in the right way, there is no enemy that will triumph over you. If you are pursuing your God-ordained destiny; the good, the bad and the ugly circumstances will contribute meaningfully to the fulfillment of your destiny. God will mysteriously or miraculously use the opposition or enemies to bring your dream to reality.
They may actually be doing all they can to destroy your destiny, but unknown to them, they are indirectly helping you to realize your dream. Most often, we tend to be bitter against our enemies for the loads of frustrations they have been mountain on us. But in a way, we have our enemies to thank because they are indirectly instrumental in the fulfillment of our destiny.
WHEN IT COMES TO FULFILLMENT OF DESTINY, THE STRENGTH OF THE OPPOSITION DOESN’T MATTER. IT DOESN’T MATTER THE NUMBER OF OPPOSITIONS AND OBSTACLES THAT ARE PILED ON YOUR WAY. WHEN YOUR DESTINY IS GOD-ORDAINED, OPPOSITIONS AND OBSTACLES WILL CRUMBLE AND CRASH.
Make sure you are pursuing your God-ordained destiny. A God-ordained destiny is one that:

  • Is legitimate.

  •  Glorifies God.
  • Is beneficial to humanity.

  • Does not infringe on the rights of others.

When all these are in place, God who is the molder and controller of great destiny, will use your enemies to bring your destiny to fulfillment. Go and pursue your God-ordained destiny and until I come your way soon, go and live victoriously now and always!
PS: part four of this article will come your way soon. Watch out for it and make sure you don’t miss it!
