Begin Again! God’s Formula for Success!

One great asset that God gives to us and for which we must be thankful to Him always is that He gives us ample opportunities to try again. This opportunity to try again is a pointer to the fact that God “wishes above all things that we should prosper.”

It is however unfortunate that we don’t really cherish these opportunities which God gives to us. If God were to give us only a single opportunity, what would be the fate of mankind? We would be hopeless, dejected and wretched.

If all we have is a single opportunity and it happens that we fritter away this opportunity, then, it means we can never amount to anything in life again, because we have messed up the only opportunity we were given by God.

Thanks be to God for His mercies. Irrespective of how many times we have fallen short of His glory, he still gives us ample opportunities to bounce back again.

God’s dealing with the Israelites after their exit from Egypt demonstrates the sufficiency of His grace to humanity. Whenever the Israelites lived right and obeyed God’s commandments, He granted them victory over their enemies. But anytime they backslid, God turned His back against them and allowed their enemies to triumph over them.

When they later realized where they had fallen and they got up and made their way right before God, God would pardon them and return to them.

PROSPERITY: GOD’S WILL

Dear reader, it is God’s will that you should succeed in life. For this reason, He gives you ample opportunities to try again and again until you succeed.  The problem with many of us that we don’t want to try and keep trying until we succeed. We only want to attempt once and succeed. If we attempt once and do not succeed, we give up.

We should realize that God does not promise us success at first attempt. For this reason, He gives us more opportunities to try and keep trying until we succeed.

It is therefore not a crime to try many times until you succeed. The opportunity of trying many times is God’s way of letting us know that He wants us to succeed and expects us to put in the necessary effort to succeed and be great.

This New Year, you must realize that your shortcomings of last year have come and gone forever. This New Year is another year of ample opportunities. This New Year affords you another opportunity to put everything right. This New Year is another year that you can take another shot at your goal/target.

That you are alive to see another New Year is an indication that God is giving you another opportunity to try again and be the best that He wants you to be.

DO YOUR PART

God has done His part to ensure that you succeed in life. He has deposited in you unlimited potentialities. He has also given you ample opportunities to try, try, try again until you succeed. He has equally given you the brain to think your way out of any unpleasant situation and into a pleasant one.

Looking at all these resources God has bestowed on you to guarantee your success in life, you have no excuse to give if you fail to make it in life. God gave you all the resources so that you can use them to succeed in life. For this reason, you shouldn’t expect God to do everything for you. God has played His part by making all the resources you need available to you.

It is now your responsibility to harness God’s unlimited potentialities within you for your success and prosperity. And in case you don’t succeed at first attempt, God has also given you unlimited opportunities to try and try and try again until you succeed.

Now, the ball is in your court. To succeed, you must do your part. God will not do your part for you. Ordinarily, God will not do for you what He has equipped you to do. If at all God must help you to do your part, you must first convince Him that you have been trying your best or that you are willing to try the best you can.

There is an English proverb which says: “GOD HELPS THOSE WHO HELP THEMSELVES.” For God to help you do your part, you have to convince Him that you are willing to try AGAIN. You must keep trying until you succeed.

IF YOU TRY ONCE OR MORE TIMES AND YOU QUIT, YOU ARE NOT LIKELY GOING TO ATTRACT GOD’S FAVOUR AND HELP. GOD IS ALWAYS WILLING TO COME TO YOUR AID, PROVIDED YOU ARE NOT INDOLENT.

What God hates is laziness. God wants us to work before we succeed. God himself worked to create heaven and earth and all things in them. And He expects us to work hard and succeed in life.

If you want to succeed in life but you don’t want to put in the necessary effort, you are not likely going to attract God’s help and success is also not likely going to smile at you.

PRAYING TO GOD TO HELP YOU IS NOT ENOUGH. YOU MUST BE WILLING TO DO YOUR PART. There is an Igala proverb that says: “If you open the door and go to sleep, God will not shut the door for you.” I think what this implies is that we must do our part and not expect God to do everything for us.

God has laid down some principles and operates on them. If you want to key into God’s blessings, you must equally follow God’s principles. One of these principles you must key into is: TRY, TRY, TRY AGAIN UNTIL YOU SUCCEED. To succeed in your pursuit this New Year, you must hold tenaciously to this principle.

That project you abandoned last year, start it again. That office/shop you vacated last year, rent it again. That house you built halfway last year, go and continue from where you stopped. Your educational pursuit that you abandoned last year, go and start it again. All the things you have abandoned because of discouragement, go and start them again.  

It is never too late to begin again. There are tremendous opportunities for you. We live in the world of opportunities where everything is possible. When you say something is impossible today, soon, you will hear that a positive-minded and persevering person has made that impossible thing possible.

You can still make. It doesn’t matter how many times you have tried and failed. You are not a failure because you quit; you become a failure ONLY when you quit. The only thing that will make you to fail is when you quit. Remember: QUITTERS NEVER WIN AND WINNERS NEVER QUIT.

Are you willing to persevere? Are you willing to try, try, try and keep trying until you succeed? Then, this New Year is your year of great achievement and fulfillment.
